Solway Sharks gave their fans an early Christmas present as the club staged a ‘Skate with the Sharks’ session last weekend.
The club’s players returned to the ice after demolishing Blackburn Hawks 12-2 in their NIHL North clash to skate with supporters, sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Sharks’ captain Struan Tonnar says the players were delighted to have the opportunity to interact with the fans on the ice.
“It was a real fun event, giving the guys a chance to meet and skate with the fans who give us so much support from the stands every week,” he said.
“It is always nice to show our appreciation and give something back, and it was really lovely to get a chance to chat to everyone.”
In addition to currently being top of both the Scottish National League (SNL) and Moralee D1, the Sharks are also through to the semi-finals of the NIHL North Cup.
