Murrayfield youngsters open their goalscoring account at Dundee

Murrayfield Junior Ice Hockey Club U10s enjoyed another productive time of things in their latest cross-ice tournament in Dundee over the weekend.

The hosts iced three teams, with Murrayfield travelling with two and Inverness & Aberdeen represented by one.

The event was particularly memorable for Harrison Chambers and Igor Cierpial who both grabbed their first goals for the club.

Lewis Gair and Charlie Donaldson picked up the MVP awards for their respective teams after performing well throughout the tournament.

The club’s U14 side were also in action as they welcomed their counterparts from Solway Sharks to Murrayfield Ice Rink.

Jack Adams bagged a double for Murrayfield, but the visitors ultimately proved too strong as they ran out 7-2 winners.

Murrayfield U16 enjoyed much better fortunes in their game against Solway, with goals by Finn Hall (3), Jack Adams (2), Adam Nichol (2) and Finlay Francey (2) securing an impressive 9-2 victory.
