The Edinburgh Capitals Academy U16s represent an important stage in our player development pathway, where the focus begins to shift towards faster, stronger and more competitive hockey.

At U16 level, players are encouraged to raise their standards both on and off the ice, developing their skating, puck skills, tactical awareness, physical play and understanding of the game. Training is designed to challenge players while continuing to build confidence, teamwork and good habits.

This age group is also an important stepping stone towards U19 and senior hockey. Players who demonstrate the required ability, attitude and commitment can be given opportunities to progress and challenge themselves at a higher level, with a pathway into the Edinburgh Capitals senior set-up for those ready to make that step.

Most importantly, our U16s are encouraged to work hard, compete for each other and enjoy their hockey, while representing Edinburgh Capitals Academy with pride.
