Top Great Britain forwards Kirk and Duggan sign up for ‘Friday Night Live’

The SIH National Coaching Team have two top guests lined up for the latest edition of ‘Friday Night Live’ on 12th March (8.00 pm).

Great Britain stars Liam Kirk and Sam Duggan both have exciting stories to tell, despite still being in the early stages of their respective careers.

In addition to representing their country at junior and senior level, the pair have gained significant experience of playing abroad.

Kirk was drafted by the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes in 2018 and has spent the last two seasons icing in the Ontario Hockey League with the Peterborough Petes.

The 21-year-old recently had a loan spell in Sweden and is scheduled to participate in the 2021 Elite Series with the Sheffield Steelers.

Duggan also has plenty of overseas experience under his belt, having spent four seasons with Orebro HK in Sweden.

He subsequently iced for Cardiff Devils in the Elite League before returning to Scandinavia with Segeltorps IF. The 22-year-old is also due to play in the Elite Series with Coventry Blaze.

SIH Head of Coaching, Steven Lynch, said: “We’re delighted that Liam and Sam have agreed to join us on ‘Friday Night Live’.

“Despite being in their early 20s, they have already built up vast experience and are a great example for other young players in the United Kingdom.

“This is a great opportunity to hear from two of the top players in the country, and we’re anticipating another bumper attendance for the event.”
