Applications invited for staff who want a future role with Great Britain

Ice Hockey UK and Great Britain head of development Tony Hand is requesting expressions of interest from coaches, managers and physiotherapists who have aspirations to be involved in the national programme.

Hand is aiming to create a development pathway that ensures off-ice staff are being readied to take on future positions with the GB set-up.

“I am very pleased with the standard, performance and commitment from the current GB staff and recently reported this position to the IHUK board as part of my annual review,” said Hand.

“However, succession planning is critical and is something that we have perhaps not focused on as much as we should have in the past.

“To this end, I’d like to invite expressions of interest from any coach or manager who would like to be involved in the GB programme moving forward.

“I want to provide a development pathway, with coaches and managers being coached and mentored for the future.”

Please send your CV and covering letter to Andy French, IHUK general secretary, at andy.french@icehockeyuk.co.uk.

The closing date for applications is June 26th, 2019.

Interviews for this voluntary position will take place on the weekend July 13th in Manchester, with venue and timings to be confirmed.
