Experienced EIHL players set for ‘Friday Night Live’ session

The SIH National Coaching Team have confirmed that ‘Friday Night Live’ will be taking place again via Zoom on Friday, 5th February (8.00 pm).

Joining Steven Lynch, Barry Carnegie and Martyn King this week will be two players who have spent the last few years with Elite League clubs.

Craig Peacock iced during the early part of his senior career with Peterborough Phantoms in the English Premier League, before moving onto the EIHL with Belfast Giants and Glasgow Clan.

The 32-year-old has also represented Great Britain extensively at both junior and senior level.

Peacock will be joined on Friday by Bari McKenzie.

The former GB junior forward has played for numerous clubs during his career, spending the last few seasons in Scotland with Dundee Stars, Braehead Clan and Fife Flyers.

Both players will spend time talking about their lives in hockey, how they got started and where their careers have taken them.

They will discuss what it took to make it to the EIHL and will pass advice onto younger players who are looking to emulate them.

The floor will then be open for a question and answer session where the pair will share further insights.

The webinar is open to everyone involved in Scottish Ice Hockey who is looking for a hockey fix as the National Coaching Team strive to make ‘Friday Night Live’ a regular event while we await a return to action.
