The SIH National Head Coaching Team will be running a coaching workshop at Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday to allow coaches to recertify their licenses.
Facilitating the course will be Steven Lynch, Barry Carnegie and Martyn King, who will deliver presentations.
They will be joined by Great Britain ice hockey legend Tony Hand, GB U20 head coach Martin Grubb, chief referee Colin Davidson and other guest speakers.
SIH head coach Steven Lynch said: “With what looks like normality returning, and after a very trying 18 months for our sport, we are delighted to run this seminar as we prepare for season 2021/22.
“Due to current restrictions, we have to run the seminar with slightly restricted numbers, but we are thrilled with the number of applicants.
“We will be rolling out our new systems for taking the coach education program forward online, where coaches will continue to learn and develop through webinars.
“These will be live and recorded, and watching a certain number over a period of time will allow them to accrue points to keep their licences valid.
“There has been a lot of work over the last few months to get this up and running, and this is an exciting time for the coaching program moving forward.
“We will also be hosting a Level 1 & 2 course later this month before our focus turns to the national program for the coming season.
“It’s great to be planning these again after sitting dormant for a long time.”
The course this weekend is full, but there are other ways that licenses can be renewed.
If you are unable to attend, please email email@example.com for further details.
Please do not turn up on the day if you have not already registered for the event, as you will not gain entry.
There will also be a separate refresher course for recreational coaches, with the dates to be confirmed.
