North Ayrshire Devils make progress, Penguins relinquish unbeaten record

North Ayrshire Devils booked their place in the semi-finals of the Scottish U20 Cup with a hard-fought victory over Dundee Stars.

Jamie Miller (2), Matthew Miller, Kyle Forsyth and Jamie Sturrock got the goals to seal a 5-4 success for the Devils.

North Ayrshire Penguins were out of luck in the Scottish U12 League as they hosted their counterparts from Dundee.

Both teams were unbeaten heading into the game, but the Stars proved too strong as they ran out 4-1 winners.

North Ayrshire Sabres travelled to Kirkcaldy to take part in an U10s cross-ice tournament against the hosts, Murrayfield, Aberdeen and Ayr Bruins.

Sabres’ player, Brad Ruxton, showed great sportsmanship by helping out Aberdeen who were short-benched in order to allow all the games to take place.

Some great goals were scored across the Sabres’ team, with Leighton Murray, Joseph Cochrane, Lawson Kennedy, Liam Wedegren and Cooper Whyte all hitting the target.
