SNL preview: Play-offs loom large as regular season enters the final stretch

The 2021/22 Scottish National League (SNL) season is heading down the final stretch with just a few weeks to go before the play-offs get underway.

Kirkcaldy Kestrels are in action twice this weekend and could boost their title hopes if they pick up four points.

The Kestrels host Kilmarnock Thunder on Friday before visiting Dundee Tigers the following day.

Dundee Comets are in action on Sunday as they go head-to-head with Paisley Pirates at Dundee Ice Arena.

They triumphed 6-2 in the reverse fixture earlier this month and will be confident of completing the double this weekend.

The remaining fixture is on Saturday as Belfast SNL Giants go head-to-head with North Ayrshire Wild at Dundonald Ice Bowl.

A win for the Giants would guarantee they finish in sixth place, setting up a play-off quarter-final clash with the team finishing third.
