There are three games in the Scottish National League this weekend, each of which could have a significant impact towards the top of the table.
With leaders Aberdeen Lynx enjoying a well-earned break, the three teams directly below them will have a chance to close the gap.
Second-placed Paisley Pirates will be desperate to bounce back to winning ways when they visit Kilmarnock Thunder on Saturday.
The Pirates were beaten 4-3 after a penalty shoot-out by Belfast SNL Giants last weekend and can ill-afford another slip-up.
However, Thunder have been increasingly competitive over the past few matches and could prove troublesome on home ice.
Kirkcaldy Kestrels moved up to third place in the standings last weekend and will be eager to follow up when they welcome the Giants to Fife Ice Arena.
The Kestrels needed overtime to see off Dundee Tigers in their most recent home match and would be well-advised not to underestimate the much-improved Giants.
The final game this weekend is on Sunday as unbeaten Dundee Comets take on North Ayrshire Wild at Dundee Ice Arena.
The Comets have won three out of three in the league this season and will fancy their chances of enhancing their record against the visitors.
