Belfast SNL Giants highlighted their improvement in the Scottish National League (SNL) with another eye-catching victory over the weekend.
The Giants climbed up to fifth in the table courtesy of a 4-3 home win over Paisley Pirates – Mack Stewart scored the decisive goal in the shoot-out.
SNL leaders Aberdeen Lynx cashed in on the Pirates’ slip-up with a 5-3 win at home to Kilmarnock Thunder to extend their lead to five points.
Kirkcaldy Kestrels moved up to third in the standings after collecting four points from their fixtures against North Ayrshire Wild and Dundee Tigers.
Andy Finlay (2) topped the scoring in their 5-1 road victory over Wild, while Reece Cochrane bagged the overtime winner in a 6-5 home success against the Tigers.
Dundee Comets made it three out of three in the league this term with a 9-3 home win against the Tigers – Jonathan McBean (2), John Dolan (2) and Garry Simpson (2) led the scoring.
