SNL preview: Wild face tough Tigers test, Lynx set for Kestrels clash

North Ayrshire Wild get their Scottish National League (SNL) season underway with a home game against Dundee Tigers on Saturday.

Wild showed plenty of improvement during the 2019/20 campaign and will be eager to continue their upward trajectory this time around.

They have been busy during pre-season, losing twice against Kirkcaldy Kestrels before splitting a two-game series against Paisley Pirates.

The Tigers started their season with a bang last weekend, racing to an impressive 11-3 victory at Kilmarnock Thunder.

Aberdeen Lynx begin their SNL campaign with a tough-looking home encounter with Kirkcaldy.

The two sides fought out a 1-1 draw at Linx Ice Arena during pre-season and there is likely to be little to choose between them this weekend.

The final game on Saturday sees Dundee Comets continue their quest to reach the NIHL Moralee Cup (North) semi-finals at home to Whitley Warriors.

The Comets ran out 6-1 winners at Billingham Stars last weekend and a victory over the Warriors would boost their chances of progressing to the last four.

Whitley have strengthened their roster ahead of the game by confirming that ‘D’ man Rihards Grigors has joined the club from Murrayfield Racers.
