SNL round-up: Double joy for table-toppers, McBean stars for the Comets

Aberdeen Lynx cemented their place at the top of the Scottish National League (SNL) after collecting four points from their weekend double-header.

Lynx kicked things off with a 4-2 home victory over Dundee Tigers – Fraser MacEachran, Jack Hutton, Mark Laing and James DeMeo got the goals.

DeMeo was on target again as Lynx followed up with another 4-2 win at North Ayrshire Wild – Ben Edmonds, Kyle Mcphail and Jack Flynn were also on the scoresheet. Gary Parker and Scott Cowan replied for Wild.

Paisley Pirates strengthened their grip on second place in the SNL with a comfortable 4-1 home win against Kirkcaldy Kestrels – Rolands Dietlavs (2), Kris Phillips and Marty Simpson bagged the goals.

Jonathan McBean was the star of the show for Dundee Comets this weekend, weighing in with five goals in an 8-3 home victory over Belfast SNL Giants.

The Giants had better luck the previous day as they ran out 10-8 winners at Kilmarnock Thunder – Carter Hamill (3) topped their scoring.
