Murrayfield Racers are on course to reach the final of the Stuart Robertson Cup (SRC) for the second successive year after producing a dominant performance against Aberdeen Lynx on Sunday.
Callum Boyd (2), Archie Holmes (2) and Joel Gautschi (2) topped the scoring as the cup holders romped to a comprehensive 9-1 home victory. The two sides will meet in the reverse fixture in Aberdeen next weekend.
Solway Sharks maintained their 100 percent record in the Scottish National League (SNL) with two emphatic wins over the weekend.
The Sharks recorded a 14-4 home win over North Ayrshire Wild on Saturday and followed up with a stylish 9-3 success at Paisley Pirates the following day. Finnish import Jaakko Heiskanen was the star of the show against Paisley as he rattled home five goals.
Allan Anderson grabbed the decisive goal as Kirkcaldy Kestrels sealed a 7-6 overtime win at Aberdeen – Scott Jamieson weighed in with a hat-trick for the visitors during regulation time.
Dundee Comets secured their first victory since October with a comfortable 24-2 home success against Kilmarnock Thunder – John Gordon (6) and Lewis McIntosh (5) were amongst the goalscorers.
