SNL round-up: Solway march on at the top, Laing treble leads Lynx to victory

Solway Sharks maintained their 100% record in the Scottish National League (SNL) after recording two victories over the weekend.

Ruairi Lockerbie (3) topped the scoring as the Sharks ran out 8-4 winners at Dundee Comets, while Peter Gapa’s second of the game was the deciding goal in a 3-2 home success over Murrayfield Racers.

Mark Laing hit a hat-trick for Aberdeen Lynx as they secured a 4-3 victory at home to North Ayrshire Wild.

Kirkcaldy Kestrels battled back from a two-goal deficit to seal a 5-4 overtime win over Dundee Comets – Scott Jamieson grabbed the winning goal.

Mark McLeod, Ross Johnston and Andrew Henderson all weighed in with hat-tricks as Dundee Tigers eased to a 16-2 success at Kilmarnock Thunder.

The Tigers followed up with a 6-2 home success against North Ayrshire in the first leg of their Scottish Cup quarter-final tie – Jack Henderson (2) led their scoring.

Daniel Abercrombie (3) and Conor Duncan (3) were amongst the scorers as Paisley Pirates won 18-0 at home to Kilmarnock in the Stuart Robertson Cup.
