Dundee Tigers boosted their hopes of securing a top three finish in the Scottish National League (SNL) with a narrow 3-2 victory over Dundee Comets.
Ben MacFarlane, Ross McIntosh and Jack Henderson got the goals to leave the Tigers needing two wins from their final four matches to guarantee third place.
The Comets had better luck the previous day as they ran out comfortable 11-3 winners on home ice against Kirkcaldy Kestrels – Ben Edmonds (3) topped their scoring.
Murrafayfield Racers closed the gap on table-topping Solway Sharks to three points after recording two road victories over the weekend.
Joel Gautschi weighed in with a hat-trick as the Racers triumphed 7-0 at North Ayrshire Wild, while Rolands Dietlavs matched the feat in a 5-2 success at Kirkcaldy.
North Ayrshire completed a tough weekend with a 5-2 defeat at Paisley Pirates – Richard Thorp (3) led the scoring for the home side.
Mark Laing (4) was amongst the scorers as Aberdeen Lynx battled to a 6-3 road victory over Kilmarnock Thunder.
