SNL round-up: Wild stun Lynx, Tigers sink their teeth into the Pirates

North Ayrshire Wild produced an excellent performance in the first leg of their Scottish National League (SNL) Play-off quarter-final against Aberdeen Lynx.

Lynx were strongly fancied to sweep Wild aside after finishing the regular season campaign as runners-up in the SNL.

Wild had other ideas, securing a 3-3 draw in Aberdeen to set up an intriguing second leg at Auhenharvie Leisure Centre next weekend.

Scott Cowan, Liam Anderson and Kyle Forsyth were on target for Wild. Mark Laing (2) and JP Jack scored for the home team.

Dundee Tigers are on track to qualify for the SNL Final Four after a dominant performance against Paisley Pirates.

John Gordon (3), Ross Johnston, Gary Kelly and Callum Turnbull were on the scoresheet as the Tigers roared to a 6-0 home win.

Allan Anderson (3), Jake Grubb (2) and Sean Cochrane (2) topped the scoring as Kirkcaldy Kestrels ran out 11-4 winners at Kilmarnock Thunder.

Belfast SNL Giants’ hopes of progressing to the Final Four look to be over after they were defeated 13-0 at Dundee Comets.

The four ties will be played to a conclusion next weekend.
