The Scottish Ice Hockey Recreational Tournaments reaches its exciting conclusion this weekend in Dumfries. Over the course of two days, 10 teams from across Scotland will battle it out on the ice, all vying for the coveted ‘Plate’ trophy.
The tournament follows the same format as recent recreational events, with teams divided into two groups – Pool A and Pool B. They will play 23 games in total, including the semi-finals and final.

The Highlanders were last year’s champions, but who knows who will emerge victorious this year as a new winner is crowned.
The action gets underway at 9 AM on Saturday with the opening match between the Paisley Buccaneers and Edinburgh Knights. Entry is free for spectators, making it an excellent opportunity for ice hockey fans to witness the excitement of recreational competition.
With teams from all corners of Scotland represented, the atmosphere is sure to be electric as players give their all in pursuit of the Plate trophy.
