The SIH National Coaching team are eagerly anticipating the next episode of ‘Friday Night Live’, with three highly regarded players lined up to take part.
Joining Steven Lynch, Barry Carnegie and Martyn King this week will be Stephen Murphy, Matt Haywood and Jordan Cownie.
Murphy boasts a wealth of experience having played as netminder for various clubs in the United Kingdom, United States and Scandinavia.
He has also represented Great Britain at every level and spent more than a decade with Belfast Giants in the Elite League.
Haywood progressed through the Sheffield development system before making his mark in the English Premier League.
He moved to Scotland in 2010 and has played in Glasgow since then bar a brief spell in Australia. Haywood has also iced for GB at junior and senior level.
Jordan Cownie started in the Dundee junior system, before heading to England to play for Peterborough Phantoms and Milton Keynes Lightning.
He returned north of the border in 2017 with Dundee Stars and has remained part of their roster since then.
Cownie has represented Scotland at all levels as a junior and also iced for GB at U18 and U20 level.
“It’s great to have these professional players on this week’s episode of ‘Friday Night Live’ as their knowledge and experience will be invaluable to the younger players within SIH,” said Carnegie.
“It also helps the webinars gather even more momentum on the back of the success we have had hosting previous evenings as we strive to keep our sport alive during the lockdown.
“We hope this week to have our highest attendance yet as everyone will be aware it will be a great night.”
The trio will chat about their ice hockey careers before fielding a question and answer session with attendees.
