Murrayfield youngsters shine at Kirkcaldy, U20 side beaten by impressive Giants

Murrayfield maintained their place at the top of the Scottish U12 League with an impressive road victory over Kirkcaldy Redskins last weekend.

Cody Adams (2), Finlay Gair and Cory Nicol got the goals to leave the Edinburgh-based team with a four-point advantage in the standings.

The club’s U14 side produced a spirited performance at Dundee Stars, but ended up on the wrong side of an 8-4 scoreline – Lukas James (2), Daniel Watson and Jack Adams got their goals.

Murrayfield U20 faced their counterparts from Belfast Junior Giants on Saturday in a fixture that was also played for the Kyle Young Memorial Cup.

The visitors eased to a 16-3 victory to claim the trophy – Malcolm Fore, Archie Holmes and Cameron Gallagher were on target for Murrayfield.
