SNL preview: Comets eyeing semi-final spot, unbeaten pair lock horns

All eyes will be on Dundee Comets this weekend as they strive to book their place in the semi-finals of the NIHL Moralee Cup (North).

Recent victories over Billingham Stars and Whitley Warriors have put the Scottish National League (SNL) team within touching distance of progressing to the last four.

Two points from their final three group games could be enough to see the Comets through, although a three-point haul would guarantee their place.

The Dundee outfit host group leaders Solway Sharks on Saturday before travelling to Hillheads to face Whitley the following day.

Their final group game is at home to Billingham on the last weekend in November.

There is just one game in the SNL this weekend, with Dundee Tigers hosting Aberdeen Lynx on Sunday.

The Tigers have started the season well, recording victories over Kilmarnock Thunder and North Ayrshire Wild in their first two outings.

Lynx kicked off their SNL campaign last weekend with a hard-fought 7-5 home victory over Kirkcaldy Kestrels and will be eager to follow up at Dundee Ice Arena.
