SNL preview: Giants face tough weekend on the road, Lynx bid to keep rolling

Belfast SNL Giants start their Scottish National League (SNL) campaign this weekend with a tough double-header on the road.

The Giants visit North Ayrshire Wild on Saturday, before heading to Braehead Arena to face Paisley Pirates the following day.

Aberdeen Lynx will bid to continue their unbeaten start to the new campaign as they travel to meet Kilmarnock Thunder on Saturday.

Lynx have recorded a pair of 7-5 victories over Kirkcaldy Kestrels and Dundee Tigers and will fancy their chances again this weekend.

The Kestrels will bid to put their defeat against Lynx firmly behind them when they welcome North Ayrshire to Fife Ice Arena on Sunday.

Steven Wishart’s side defeated Wild twice during pre-season and will be confident of grabbing another victory over the west coast outfit.

Dundee Comets complete their NIHL Moralee Cup (North) group stage fixtures on Sunday with a home game against Billingham Stars.

The Comets have already secured a semi-final place against Solihull Barons in the cross-border competition. Dates for the tie are still to be confirmed.
