Murrayfield Racers will fly the flag for Scottish Ice Hockey this weekend as they go head-to-head with Whitley Warriors in the final of the NIHL North Cup.
The Racers faced the Warriors twice during the group stage of the competition, with each side winning their respective home matches.
Tony Hand’s side subsequently defeated Solway Sharks over two legs to progress to the final, while the Warriors eased past Billingham Stars.
Elsewhere this weekend, Solway can clinch the Scottish National League (SNL) title if they pick up one point from their two fixtures.
The Sharks visit Aberdeen Lynx on Saturday, before welcoming Dundee Tigers to Dumfries Ice Bowl the following day.
North Ayrshire Wild will bid to improve their seeding for the end-of-season play-offs as they host Paisley Pirates on Saturday.
Wild have lost three league games in a row to slip to eighth in the standings and will be eager to bounce back this weekend.
Kirkcaldy Kestrels travel to to face the Pirates on Sunday aiming to follow up last week’s victory over Aberdeen.
The Kestrels battled to a a 4-2 victory against Lynx to climb up to sixth in the table and will hope to continue in the same vein at Braehead Ice Arena.
Dundee Comets are also in action on Sunday as they host Belfast Giants SNL. The Comets are currently fifth in the table, but can still claim third place if they finish the regular season with a flourish.
