Aberdeen Lynx made it four-out-of-four in the Scottish National League (SNL) with a gritty 8-5 victory over Belfast SNL Giants on Saturday.
Jordan Leyden (2), James DeMeo (2) and Jack Durkacz (2) topped the scoring for Lynx as they extended their lead to four points at the top of the SNL table.
Kirkcaldy Kestrels were given an almighty fright by Kilmarnock Thunder before bouncing back to secure their second win this season.
Thunder led 4-1 just after the seven-minute mark, but the Kestrels roared back to eventually seal a narrow 8-6 success.
Chad Smith (2) and Grant Jamieson (2) topped the Kestrels’ scoring, while Marcus Murdoch weighed in with a hat-trick for Thunder.
Adam Walker bagged the winner as Pirates bounced back from last week’s disappointment against Belfast to seal a 3-2 win at North Ayrshire Wild.
Teenage netminder Harry Campbell was the star of the show for the home side, saving 54 of the 57 shots he faced on his senior debut.
