Dundee Tigers moved up to second place in the Scottish National League (SNL) after picking up four points over the weekend.
Callum Turnbull, Andrew Henderson, Craig Findlay and Tony Malone were on target as the Tigers recorded a stylish 4-1 victory at Aberdeen Lynx.
They followed up with a hard fought 5-4 win after overtime at Paisley Pirates – Paul Guilcher’s second goal of the game proved to be the decider.
Murrayfield Racers completed their NIHL North Cup fixtures in impressive fashion after collecting three points from a possible four from their weekend double-header against Moralee D1 opposition.
The Racers took a point from their visit to Billingham Stars, with Sean Donaldson’s goal four seconds from time sending the game to overtime.
Neither side could find the winner in the extra period, taking the match to a shoot-out where Tomas Rubes bagged the decider to seal a 6-5 victory for the Stars.
Murrayfield returned to home ice the following evening to face a Whitley Warriors side who had won 11 of their 14 matches in all competitions this season.
The Warriors led 2-1 after two periods, but they had no answer to the Racers in the final session as the home side completed a superb 7-4 win – Callum Boyd (3), Joel Gautschi (3) and Archie Holmes got the goals.
Solway Sharks maintained their 100 percent record in the competition with two comfortable victories over Dundee Comets, winning 13-0 at home and 13-1 on the road.
The Sharks will now face the Racers in the semi-finals, with Whitley going head-to-head with Billingham.
