Steven Lynch has left his post as Head of Coaching and National Development for Scottish Ice Hockey.
Lynch has been in the role for the past seven years and driven the sport forward during this time, as evidenced by the number of Scottish players involved in this year’s Great Britain programme and the latest GB trials.
SIH chair Mike Stewart said: “I’ve known Steven for over 15 years, back to his days with Edinburgh Capitals, and I know it was a difficult decision to step down from his role.
“Steven and his team have built a fantastic foundation in our Coaching and Development programme to build on moving forward.
“I know everyone who has benefited from Steven’s skills and expertise will want to thank him for what he has contributed over the years.
“We all wish him every success in his new role as the head coach of the newly reformed Capitals.
“The search for a replacement Head of Coaching and National Development is underway, and a full advertisement will follow in due course.”
