As we head into another weekend of Scottish National League action, we bring you a preview of the two games on the schedule. These are games you don’t want to miss with teams eager to get some early season points.

Saturday: Edinburgh Capitals vs Kilmarnock Thunder

The Edinburgh Capitals are set to host their first home game of the season against Kilmarnock Thunder on Saturday. After a narrow victory against Kirkcaldy Kestrels last weekend, the Capitals are looking to build on their momentum and currently sit third in the league table.

Kilmarnock Thunder, currently in seventh place, will be playing their third league game of the season. Despite a challenging start, Thunder will be eager to secure their first win of the campaign.

With the Capitals keen to impress their home crowd and Thunder hungry for their first victory, this match promises to be a hard fought contest.

Sunday: Paisley Pirates vs Kirkcaldy Kestrels

On Sunday, the Paisley Pirates will face off against the Kirkcaldy Kestrels in what’s shaping up to be a thrilling matchup. Due to ongoing preparations at their home rink in Braehead, the Pirates will be hosting this game at Murrayfield.

The Pirates are coming off an impressive away performance last weekend, where they secured a 7-3 win against Thunder in a closely fought match that was decided in the third period. Pirates have shown promising form despite the challenges of training at various rinks.

The Kestrels, will be regrouping after their narrow loss to the Capitals, and will be determined to get some points on the board. With both teams having made some roster changes over the summer, this early-season clash could go either way.
