This weekend’s action promises to bring more clarity to the early standings as some teams are just getting started in their campaigns. With double headers, cross-border clashes, and key home openers, there’s plenty at stake across the league.

Edinburgh Capitals v Kirkcaldy Kestrels

It’s a double header for the Capitals and Kestrels, with Saturday’s fixture at Murrayfield followed by a Sunday rematch in Fife. The Capitals have played just once so far, opening their campaign with a 4–1 win over Solway. The Kestrels, meanwhile, started with two losses against Paisley but bounced back strongly last weekend with a 5–0 victory over Solway SNL. With four points available, both sides will be pushing hard to climb the table. These matchups always deliver high intensity, and both clubs will be determined to carry their early progress into a big weekend.

Aberdeen Lynx v Kilmarnock Thunder

Aberdeen Lynx return to the Linx Ice Arena on Saturday night for their fourth outing of the season, looking to build momentum after last weekend’s 4–3 away win against Paisley Pirates. That victory secured their first road points and lifted them into third place in the standings.

Kilmarnock Thunder are still searching for their first win of the campaign, but their younger roster should bring plenty of pace and energy. The larger ice pad in Aberdeen will make it a very different test compared to their home ice, and the Lynx will look to make home advantage count as they aim to extend their winning streak.

North Ayrshire Wild v Dundee Rockets

Sunday sees the Rockets travel west to face North Ayrshire Wild. Rockets have only played once so far this season, but they already look organised and competitive, with plenty of structure in their game, just as they did last season. Wild, meanwhile, have been impressing with their progress and are showing themselves to be a competitive side. Both teams will be out to make a statement at Auchenharvie, and it has all the ingredients for a hard-fought game.

Whitley Warriors v Paisley Pirates

Also on Sunday, Paisley Pirates make the trip south of the border to face Whitley Warriors. Warriors have enjoyed a perfect start to the season and remain unbeaten, while Pirates have also looked strong, with their only setback coming against Aberdeen. Whitley’s depth and experience will provide a tough challenge, but Paisley will arrive with confidence after a competitive opening to their campaign.

It’s set to be another exciting weekend of SNL action — make sure to get along and enjoy a great night of hockey.
